Q: Can the laptop be charged through the hub?
A: Kingston Nucleum USB Hub supports power pass-through to enable MacBook battery being charged while utilizing all its ports. Attach MacBook power adapter to Nucleum USB type-C power port (AC plug symbol). Its separate type-C port (USB trident symbol) used for data transfers only.
Q: Can i use the usb-c data port to connect to an external monitor via a usb-c to displayport cable?
A: Kingston Nucleum USB-C data port works in data transmission mode only and does not work in the alternative mode to support video connectivity. It is recommended to use Nucleum HDMI port for video output.
